"Cooking with Alicia & Annie" Crock Pot Barbecue Beef

I made the BBQ Beef because I had a piece of beef in my fridge that I really wanted to use-

I have always loved shredded beef or pork but I thought making it myself would be very time consuming.
Let me tell you- the crock pot takes all the stress out of this recipe.
You literally set it and forget it.

I made a little more work for myself by moving it to a pan on the stove top to dry it up a bit-
I didn't want it saucy.
This was great and I'd make it again...next time I serve it on great big rolls!

Alicias Recipes

Crock Pot Barbecue Beef

6 lbs. boneless beef (I used a chuck roast)

1 stalk celery, chopped

3 lg. onions, chopped (I also used 2 cloves of garlic)

1 green pepper, chopped( I used a red pepper)

1 sm. bottle ketchup

3 tbsp. BBQ sauce

3 tbsp. Vinegar

1 tbsp. Tabasco sauce

2 tbsp. chili powder

Salt and pepper

1-1/2 c. water

Instructions
Combine all ingredients in crock-pot. Cook on low for 5-6 hours.

I served it with rice and salad.

I'm sorry I didn't get a plated picture- everyone
was in a hurry to eat and by the time I remembered
it was all gone!

Your post brought back the memory of my grandmother's little club which she simply called "The Ladies". A small group of friends that got together each week and organized themselves into a club. I'll have to write about that soon! :)

I absolutely love a good crockpot recipe. SO easy and nice when dinner rolls around that it's all done!
