Karina's Visit

What a wonderful surprise- Karina came North to spend a few days with us. As you can imagine we are all thrilled. Her boyfriend William will arrive at the end of the week for a few days as well.

Francesco is thrilled to have her here- he misses her very much !

Since Biagio and Karina are away he really feels their abscence!

We are planning to spend Sunday together before Karina and Will return to Florida.Maybe we will go fishing- it's a good quiet activity that we can all do together.

Mad Monday

Ok this is the start of a new week-
Summer has supposedly started- even though it rains everyday!
I must say the rain has made my plants very happy- but it just doesn't feel like summer to me!
I have to get into a new summer routine- since school ended I feel like a fish out of water. We don't get up at 6 AM any longer and we certainly don'g get to bed early!
I have to get to the gym and my son and I have to make sure we get to the park at least 4 days a week to play some tennis. We both need the exercise and the sun!Let's see if we make tomorrow a productive day.

I had company yesterday- family came by for a quick dinner and fun visit.
We BBQ'd and the food came great. I made my Barley/Mushroom casserole.
Green beans w/garlic and EVOO... London Broil...Pork Tenderloin and a huge salad with EVOO and balsamic vinegar.
Cappucino and Dark Chocolate cake finished off the meal.
Great Dinner!

Lazy Monday

Today was a lazy Monday.
After a late night on Fathers day I hit my snooze and then shut off the alarm and went back to sleep...something I rarely do! It felt good but made the rest of my day drag. The only good part of the day was spent reading my favorite food blogs! I'm hoping for an early and productive day tomorrow.
It rained here in the afternoon- heavy downpours and some places even got large hail . We did not- thank goodness! I did hear my plants outside cheering when the rain started so I couldn't complain too much!
Saves me the trouble of watering and the plants seem to love the rain water much better than the hose water! They grow better!

Todays Update...

Well- this has been a lot of fun.
Setting up this page was more fun than I thought it would be.
I'm not done yet- lets see what else I can add to it.

The Beginning...

This will be short and sweet.

Today I finally set up a Blog spot and I am going to attempt to blog.

I have enjoyed so many blogs belonging to others and just figured "what the heck"- I can do this too.
